0 Menyembunyikan Menu Search dari Menu Start

Menyembunyikan Menu Search dari Menu Start : Menu Search yang disediakan Windows XP bertujuan untuk membantu kita dalam mempermudah pencarian suatu file/folder atau komputer dalam suatu jaringan LAN atau bahkan jaringan internet. Namun karena alasan tertentu, misalnya alasan keamanan, kita dapat menyembunyikan menu tersebut dari menu Start. Salah satu cara untuk menyembunyikannya adalah dengan menggunakan fasilitas gpedit. Berikut ini tips dan triknya.

Pertama, buka gpedit dengan cara klik START >> Run >> kemudian ketikkan gpedit.msc kemudian OK atau ENTER hingga akan muncul jendela group policy editor (gpedit).

Kedua, klik User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Start and Menu Taskbar >>

Ketiga, pada panel sebelah kanan pilih (klik) Remove Search menu from Start Menu hingga muncul jendela Remove Search menu from Start Menu, seperti di bawah ini.

Keempat, dari ketiga opsi, pilih opsi “Enabled” kemudian pilih OK atau Apply.

Kelima, tutup jendela gpedit

Keenam, selesai.

Sekarang, pastikan menu Search sudah tidak muncul lagi pada menu START.

0 Menghapus Shortcut Arrows Icon Di Desktop

Menghilangkan Shortcut Arrows Icon Pada Desktop : Secara default, setiap icon dari program executable yang berada di desktop akan “dihiasi” dengan shortcut arrows. Shortcut arrows adalah gambar anak panah dengan background warna putih yang letaknya di sudut kiri bawah pada gambar icon dimaksud. Jika hal tersebut mengganggu “pemandangan”, kita dapat menghilangkannya dengan cara mengotak-atik melalui regedit. Jika tertarik, silakan ikuti tipsnya bersama Tips dan Trik Komputer berikut ini.

Berikut screeshot contoh shortcut arrows seperti yang dimaksud di atas.

Langsung saja, langkah-langkah menghilangkan Shortcut Arrows pada icon dimaksud di atas adalah sebagai berikut.

Pertama, jalankan regedit (Start >> Run >> regedit)

Kedua, pilih HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile

Ketiga, hapus string value IsShortcut

Keempat, tutup registry editor tersebut.

Kelima, restart komputer

Keenam, selesai

Sekarang pastikan shortcut arrows pada icon program executable sudah tidak muncul lagi, seperti screenshot di bawah ini.

Untuk mengembalikan/memunculkan shortcut arrows, ikuti langkah pertama dan kedua di atas kemudian pada langkah ketiga, tambahkan string value dengan nama IsShortcut.
